Usage Tips
Serve over pan-fried, grilled or roast chicken, pork chops, steak and veal cutlets. Excellent with ground meat balls and meatloaf. Use in casseroles, stews and meat pies. To make gourmet gravy, use roast drippings and water to equal 1 cup (250 mL ). Any amount of drippings will do, but the more the better.
ALL YOU NEED
- 1 cup (250 mL) water
ALL YOU DO
- COMBINE water and gravy mix in saucepan.
- COOK over medium heat, stirring constantly until gravy comes to a boil; simmer 1 minute.
MICROWAVE TIP
- COMBINE water and gravy mix in 1 qt (1 L) microwave safe bowl.
- COOK, uncovered on HIGH power for 3-4 minutes until bubbly and thickened, stirring after each minute.
MAKES 1 CUP (250 mL) GRAVY
TIPS
For Mushroom Swiss Poutine: Add prepared gravy to sautéed mushrooms and shallots. Simmer, then layer on top of French fries and sliced swiss cheese.
Must be cooked for food safety.
