Usage Tips
Use on fish and seafood dishes, including baked salmon, baked sole, grilled shrimp and crab cakes. Serve with roasted chicken, pork souvlaki or lamb chops. Drizzle on steamed vegetables, such as asparagus, broccoli or green beans. Spoon on poached eggs and toasted English muffins along with smoked salmon and spinach or ham.
Stove top directions:
Melt 1/2 cup (125 mL) butter in medium saucepan. Remove from heat, stir in 1 cup (250 mL) water and sauce mix. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat. Simmer 3 minutes.
Microwave directions:
In 1-quart (1 L) microwave-safe bowl, melt 1/2 cup (125 mL) butter on HIGH 40 to 60 seconds. Stir in 1 cup (250 mL) water and sauce mix. Cook uncovered on HIGH 3 to 4 minutes or until thickened, stirring after each minute. Makes about 1-2/3 cups (400 mL).
