Usage Tips
A classic served with steak, try sirloin topped with crab meat and drizzled with sauce. Enjoy with roasted chicken, lamb, pork or beef. Serve with grilled salmon, shrimp, crab cakes and baked oysters. Drizzle on ham, spinach and Swiss cheese-stuffed crepes. Spoon on poached eggs or seafood omelettes. Serve with vegetable sides, including grilled Portobello mushrooms or asparagus and enjoy with roasted potatoes or cauliflower.
Stove top directions:
Melt 1/2 cup (125 mL) butter in medium saucepan. Remove from heat, stir in 1 cup (250 mL) water and sauce mix. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat. Simmer 3 minutes.
Microwave directions:
In 1-quart (1 L) microwave-safe bowl, melt 1/2 cup (125 mL) butter on HIGH 40 to 60 seconds. Stir in 1 cup (250 mL) water and sauce mix. Cook uncovered on HIGH 3 to 4 minutes or until thickened, stirring after each minute. Makes about 1-2/3 cups (400 mL).
